A new year, a new resolution, a new opportunity to educate myself about Gin perhaps? That’s what I suddenly heard myself saying, when I discovered we had a new Gin School opening in Ireland. I repeated that to myself once again, when Tribe Irish Gin finally revealed their new (ever so stylish) HQ & Gin School, located in Salthill, a chic coastal quarter, set along a stunning landscape, just minutes from the hippest restaurant culture in arguable Ireland, not to mention Europe.. Galway City.

I imagined myself inhaling the organic seaweed and other native ingredients, (which gives Tribe Gin it’s bespoke Tribal flavor's), while looking out onto a rugged vista…Soaking up this part of the world, as breathtakingly “Irish”. Yes, all this before I even imagined hanging up my coat before the “Meet & Greet” at said same Gin School.

Back around October 2021, Tribe Gin rocked onto the Irish gin stage with all the presence of an Irish Rock group! Young, hip, with a great label, and an ability to draw people in from all counties of Ireland. Like it or not, no matter what county in Ireland you come from, we are all, most definitely, a Tribe.

Galway remains identifiably steeped in Irish culture, and most particularly steeped in our native language, it plays host to multi-cultural artistic events annually, is home to many musical masters in Ireland, most importantly, Galway is without a doubt, one of the most welcoming communities of our land.
