Evolving with your Irish Aviation Themed Craft Gin Brand
Runway 28 gin, a craft gin with a winning brand recipe for Domestic and Travel Retail.
Aer Lingus, Islandsflug, Ryanair, Retail in Motion, DUB/SNN/AGP/BRI/HHN/AMS/EMA. The codes & language of the sky, and indeed the backstory of Runway 28 Gin founder, (ex cabin crew member) MarieAnn Mc Loughlin Dwyer.
MarieAnn’s Aviation journey (starting in 1999) would take her on an eclectic aviation journey, from freelancing with several European airlines, to progressing onto an airline cabin crew product training & product development role in the mid noughties. She took a short side diversion as a sales advisor with the luxury fragrance brand Jo Malone, basing her between Dublin and London.
Suffice to say, this all landed her in a favorable position to identify three critical retail recipe ingredients, that now help her marry her own brand philosophies nicely together. That is Aviation, bespoke premium Gin creation, and luxury branding.
“I never quite understood or appreciated the value of what I’ve collected in terms of personal experience, brand understanding, and work ethic’s, until I was right bang in the middle of fighting for my own brand vision, my own brand survival, and my own brand future” said MarieAnn. “I now realise the importance of persistence, working with likeminded people, being honest and forthright, and always striving to understand just who your customers are? and what they want! Truthfully there are no short-cuts, I work most nights and weekends, however, the excitement of bringing my (and a full team behind the scenes) premium gin brand to a global audience is the ultimate goal, and one I think I’m ready for!”

Business is far too competitive, fast paced, and quality driven, especially in the beverage and alcohol industry, to bring anything else except your A-Game” said MarieAnn. “The thing is, it’s as easy to strive for your very best in the first place, than not too!”.
With a husband, friends, and colleagues in Aviation, MarieAnn will certainly keep evolving with her Runway 28 Gin brand. She looks forward to happily embracing a new exciting (if sometimes challenging) route to market within the drinks industry. “I’m enjoying the journey, meeting new contacts within new industries, and rediscovering some old contacts, who much like myself, are still on the road in one way or another” Chin Chin, the Sky’s the Limit!
